Primal Ice Hockey · Next Gen Showcase 2027
PrimalThenics is entering teams in the U11, U13, U15 and U17 divisions of the Next Gen Showcase, Australia's largest youth hockey tournament, 7–11 April 2027 at iceHQ Melbourne.
A PrimalThenics team, led by founder and High Performance Manager Chris Miller, and coached on ice by former NHL player Scott Timmins, Head Coach, Ice Hockey, in collaboration with Timmins Performance Training.
Back for 2027
In 2026 our inaugural Primal Hockey teams had an exceptional tournament at the Next Gen Showcase. In April 2027 we're going again.
It's the chance for Brisbane (and interstate) players to play competitive hockey against the best junior talent in the country.
Primal Hockey is built in our Newmarket studio. Our founder and CEO, Chris Miller, created Primal Ice Hockey and brings the same high-performance approach he's used with Olympic, Commonwealth Games and professional athletes to every junior player. He leads Next Gen 2027 as the team's High Performance Manager.
The tournament runs 7–11 April 2027 at iceHQ, Melbourne, during the Queensland Easter school holidays, so players won't miss any school.

Scott isn't running any other workshops while he's in Brisbane. His sessions are exclusive to PrimalThenics participants.
