Each term, the Primal Insight Series offers Seminars, Workshops and Intensives on topics that address physical, mental, and lifestyle elements of health. These sessions go beyond basic fitness principles, equipping participants with knowledge they can directly apply to optimise health. The series covers topics like healthy eating, vision wellness, injury prevention, and stress management during the festive season. Each seminar includes actionable advice and insights from both Chris Miller, PrimalThenics’ founder, and expert guest speakers, which expands the perspective and depth of each topic.
These seminars are structured to inform the direction of the associated Primal Intensive programs.
Primal Intensives: Targeted Practice and Personal Growth
The Primal Intensives are 8 week programs offered each term, with each intensive carefully curated to reflect and expand on the insights gained from the seminar and workshop series. These intensives provide a structured environment for hands-on application of the principles learned, focusing on disciplines such as pliability, functional strength, tenacity and weight management.
Together, the Primal Insight Series, Workshops and Intensives create a supportive cycle that fosters real, sustainable health outcomes for participants. The seminars plant seeds of knowledge, while the intensives offer a nurturing environment to practice, integrate, and solidify these principles over time. This connected approach is what makes PrimalThenics’ programs a truly holistic journey toward long-term wellness.
Term 1 CHEMICAL: Healthy Eating & Nutrition
After the holiday season ends and transitions into the new year, it is easy to lose track of your habits and simple health metrics. This series is designed to get you back on track with nutritional and circadian rhythm fundamentals. Through driving awareness to how, when and what you eat as well as the science behind metabolism this series will set you up to implement healthy living practices to ensure you get back on track and have a healthy year ahead.The intensive for Term 1 is about building healthy nutrition and training habits and engaging in healthy lifestyle practices that reset the circadian rhythm. Training during this period is about consistency and building a base of aerobic fitness, strength and mobility.

Term 2 STRUCTURAL: Pliability & Mobility
Now that the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle have been brought to the forefront of your awareness it is time to tackle the structural foundation of your physical health; how pliable and resilient to injury is your body?
With guest presenter David Leach presenting on spinal health we are aiming to educate our members on how and when to seek physical therapy help and on the lifestyle factors that contribute to spinal health.
This seminar leads into our Pliability intensive. In this intensive we have a timetable shift that incorporates specific pliability sessions designed to improve spinal health and overall stability and injury prevention.
The Pliability sessions have 4 main themes:
1. Joint Control: moving and controlling joints though a full range of motion with intrinsic tension and conscious control
2. Power Stretching: utilising the neuro science of flexibility to safely stretch muscles whilst teaching the brain control and safety in these elongated and compromised positions.
3. Prehab: Our long standing Pliability sessions incorporating trigger point therapy, soft tissue and myofascial release work, nerve glides, and neural mapping to recover from and prevent injuries.
4. Movement Control: Our PrimalThenics Session shifts to a movement control focus where we incorporate transitions, flows and combo drills of PrimalThenics exercises.

Term 3 SOCIAL/MENTAL : Tenacity & Will Power
It is time to rewire the structure in the brain, the mid anterior cingulate cortex (aMCC), that plays a central role in willpower and tenacity. Essentially, your Tenacity Hot Spot. It functions as a key hub for evaluating effort, cost, and reward—essentially helping the brain decide whether to persist through difficulty or give up. This region is active when we push through discomfort, resist impulses, or maintain focus under stress. Research shows that greater activation of the aMCC is associated with increased persistence and mental toughness, making it a crucial structure in the neural circuitry of resilience and self-control. Strengthening this area through challenging, goal-directed tasks may enhance our capacity for sustained effort and grit.
Through a series of lifestyle and training practices we will teach members to build their Tenacity hot spot. In re-wiring the neural circuitry in this part of the brain it sets up our clients for success when it comes to our Term 4 Primal Lean program. Our training focus will be on self directed tasks and sessions that drive focus and engagement via physical intensity and focus to build the aMCC.

INTENSIVE: Tenacity Hotspot 8 Week Intensive
Term 4 ENVIRONMENTAL/SOCIAL : Primal Lean & Weight loss
A program dedicated to weight loss via coached caloric restriction and intense training. Members will be given nutritional targets and coaching to match their training parameters to drive a period of weight loss. It will implement the year's learning or be a baptism of fire for new members who will receive ample support.
